Publicists: Stars will shun Ryan Seacrest on Oscar red carpet

Ryan Seacrest could be on a train to Nowheresville as publicists say their A-list clients will shun the bestubbled TV staple on the Oscar red carpet.

The 43-year-old American Idol host’s golden touch with celebrities hit the skids on Monday when explosive allegations emerged of “years of unwanted sexual aggression.”

His personal stylist claimed the silver-tongued sycophant had made her life a living hell.

Seacrest is beloved by the E! Network where he is also executive producer of its biggest hit, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. E!

Seacrest has denied the allegations, claiming he’s the victim of a shakedown.

But the army of flacks poised to do battle this Sunday, say Seacrest is verboten.

“Usually Ryan is the one you want . . . but there are so many outlets on that carpet, why risk it? There’s plenty of other places for clients to get the exposure,” one publicist told the New York Post.

Another said it would depend on the client.

“[But] if it was a [client who had been involved in the #MeToo movement], I would never put them in that position. I don’t think any smart person would.”

Backing Seacrest on the red carpet is his E! Network who insist the ubiquitous host will go ahead with their Oscars coverage on Sunday.

Seacrest has said that the parent company of E!, NBCUniversal, has cleared him.

But emotions in Hollywood over the #MeToo movement are currently white hot and insiders said they would direct stars to Seacrest’s co-host, Giuliana Rancic.

Or skip the network altogether.

Seacrest has a substantial stake in E! As executive producer of the network’s biggest hit, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and a big chunk of the rest of their programming.

The LIVE with Kelly and Ryan host’s girlfriend, Shaya Taylor, also jumped over the boards in his defence, calling him “the most respectful, well mannered, civil, gracious, loving, kind human being”.

On Wednesday’s show, co-host Kelly Ripa made a quip at Seacrest’s expense, asking: “What is going on? Something pretty major is happening … Do you want me to put your shoes back on for you? I’m a mom, I can do that.”

Seacrest stammered: “You don’t mind, do you?”

His accuser, Suzie Hardy, alleges Seacrest pushed her head towards his crotch when she was tying his shoes.

Meanwhile, the British police probe into disgraced pooh-bah Harvey Weinstein has grown with detectives saying there are now 10 alleged victims.

The accusations made by 10 women relate to incidents that reportedly took place between the 1980s and 2015.

Cops in New York and LA are also investigating. The Pulp Fiction producer has denied the allegations.
